I guess Marshall fans are beginning to realize that no one else cares either.
That movie is also up against some tough competition, I saw Night at the Museum yesterday and it was flatout hillarious :)

I watched the first two minutes of "We Are marshall" and walked out. Of course I was a little embarrassed that it took me two minutes to realize I was in the wrong theatre to see "Blood Diamond".
Movies I enjoyed in 2006, off the top of my head:

1. Little Miss Sunshine
2. Match Point
3. Casino Royale
4. The Departed
5. Borat (although there was some media oversaturation with this)

I'm sure there are others I'm just not thinking of right now...
Two thumbs up for The Good Shepherd. Excellent movie, despite some of the critical reviews. One of my best ever.
1.Snakes on a Plane
2.Flags of our Fathers
3.Borat
4.Saw III
5.Eragon

Well, you at least have one good movie on your list. At least you have it fairly high(#2). ;-)

I'll second that opinion. Saw it New Year's Eve and it's excellent from start to finish.
OMG!

Little Miss Sunshine is absolutely freakin HILARIOUS!! Best movie I've seen in a long time.

i think it's also HILARIOUS that the marshall movie is flopping. lmfao
1) The Departed
2) Borat
3) Casino Royale
4) Clerks 2
5) Little Miss Sunshine
I am one at least who thought the Marshall movie was excellent. I told my wife I can't believe I sat there and was rooting for Marshall. My wife and daughter-in-law cried nearly all the way through it. It was a story with great pathos and with some very good performances IMO. It was a very human story. You just had to overlook the fact that Marshall was the subject of the movie and enjoy everything else about it.
Aside from personal feelings about Marshall, it is certainly an emotional story. Unfortunately, I think the overhyping of the movie hurt it. ESPN had the stars of the movie on every time you turned around and they weren't the only station to do promotion on sports or non-sports programming. I suppose it isn't any different than any other blockbuster. But most people expect to see movie promotion on late-night talk shows. Sports fans don't want movie stars in the booth during football games.
I'm seeing the Movie Friday, I think its going to be a good film
I saw it yesterday. It's a really good movie. Very moving and surprisingly enjoyable.

It's a Scorsese film about a conflict between the Boston Irish mob and law enforcement, with Matt Damon, Leo DeCaprio, and Jack Nicholsen.

Sounds interesting. I want to see Breach (Release Date: February 16, 2007) when it comes out.
If you like this movie you ought to see the original. Infernal Affairs it is an Asian movie with subtitles, but is very good(which is why they remade it). It is the first movie I ever watched with subtitles, but hardly noticed after a few minutes.
I thought The Prestige was cool. Wanting to see The Departed badly.
Can someone who watched tell me are any MAC schools portrayed in the film under their actual names? Or do they use fictitous school names?
