RC: It means that the access is real. Boise would not have gotten into the game if it was under the old format, despite being ranked ahead of the Big XII and ACC champion. It validates the new format. Hopefully what it means for the MAC is that can be us. This is my eighth year here as MAC commissioner, and under these new rules we would have had two teams go to a BCS game. I said that a MAC team will kick off on New Year's Day, and I believe that now more than ever."
