I don't pretend to know Mr. Solich, but no one should ever be surprised what could happen in the coaching profession.

Mr. Erickson came back to coach Idaho for the SECOND time. Then he stays less than one year, packing his bags as soon as Arizona State came calling. Ugh.

And don't even get me started with Brian Kelley.
like the writer, forgot his name [James Glassman], who wrote a book predicting Dow 36,000?

It was, of course, the classic SPECULATION book, probably ever written (especially as the market tanked before the ink was dry on the book).

And yes, the Dow will hit 36,000 I just don't know which decade: 2010s, 2020s, 2030s, etc. lmfao

Yeah, Frank will probably leave Ohio in '06 or '07 or '08 or '09 or '10...'20 (isn't this an informative post 03-nerner ).

Speculation and a buck and a quarter will get someone a cup of coffee at Dennys.

Actually he wrote that Solich has outgrown Athens and has become a better coach in the MAC.
Once again, why would AF go after a 62 yo coach?
DrTorch Wrote:Once again, why would AF go after a 62 yo coach?

Exactly! they wouldn't and neither would anyone else. Solich is staying at OU until he retires, like it or not.

PS-I like it! 02-13-banana
Could AF pry away Paul Johnson from Navy

PJ is making a million per right now. His name has been up for several jobs this year and is still in the mix for the Alabama job. PJ will be at a BCS school in the next couple of years. He was won running the flexbone at his last two stops and before that he ran the run and shoot at Hawaii. He is pretty versitle. The option that Air Force runs is pretty different than the version Navy runs. I would love to see PJ goto a "big time" conference and see if he could win with the flexbone. As an option football coach I would love to see it.

I doubt it. What does AF offer that Navy can't match?

As for a BCS conference calling, well, they'll have to accept the option. Ore St didn't like it under Pettibon, so I doubt the west will put up w/ it (so much for AF). Florida schools want passing as well. But 'Bama and TAMU seemed to take Franchione's offense w/o complaint.

Who would be willing to take Johnson? Northwestern. Maybe Illinois. Certainly Syracuse.

Those would be my top bets (not in that order) if Johnson leaves. Also throw in VPI since Beamer is getting along in years.
