Heard today that Navy & Bowling Green have agreed to a home & home for next year & 2009, with 2007 being at your place. Looks like Navy's playing 4 MAC teams next year. Looking forward to it!

We may be nice and not water down the field for that game. Need to save up the money for that late November game right before Thanksgiving.

Good for BG. Interesting that Navy plays four MAC schools next year. Chryst must still be trying to get them to join the MAC.

I wonder if that game might be the opener to show off the new Sebo Center as well as a new "Field Turf" playing surface?

Heard this from sources at Navy. We needed a replacement for UConn, who wanted to drop the remainder of the series with us. Next year's game is scheduled for Nov. 10.

...aaaaaaaaaaand it looks like I might have jumped the gun a little. I guess it's still being discussed... Hopefully it wasn't a false alarm, as I think it'd be a great series. At least we know that we're talking, anyway.

This would be awesome if true. I love Annapolis* and would definitely make the trip for game. I've always wanted to take in a home Navy game.*

What's the deal with Bowling Green's 2007 schedule? If they add Navy, that will fill up the 4 OOC games:

9-1 @ Pittsburgh
9-15 Florida International
9-29 Boise State
plus Navy at home.

But I also saw that Minnesota has them scheduled at home on 9/1/07. Is BGSU dropping Pitt to play at Minnesota?

Anything south of the 40th(North) parallel.

That doesn't bode well for BG. They've had some trouble stopping the run.

There has already been talk that FIU doesn't want to make a trip to Ohio, so that game may be off. And we have been jacked around by Boise as well. Very possible that game could get scrapped since we apparently aren't up to their level of competition.

FWIW, the only official word for next years schedule was FIU and Boise. The Pitt, Minne, and navy games are all speculation.

I guess there will be no question who has the worst playing surface in the MAC then!!!

Rather play on our playing surface, at least it is a surface and you can see the yard markers and actually see green instead of brown mud everywhere. You might not like our surface because people slip on it if they are not wearing the proper shoe, but at least it looks like a football field.


And yes, there probably is a good Amstutz joke in there. Of course I keep getting this image of that pic someone posted last year of Greg Brandon on all fours with that dog harness thing around his neck.
