Live from Ford Field I will be posting updates throughut the night on the VanDelay Sports blog. Check it out throughout the night at http://www.dfnsports.com/mac
Let me be the first tonight to say, GO OU!!!
Let me be the first to say "Go Chips!"
Go Chips!!!!!!!
Nice lead in to the Big12 championship preview on ESPN. 03-melodramatic
Go CMU! Time to bring back the MACC to the West.
Nice thing they did on MAC QB's in the NFL......Batch, Pennington, Leftwich, Roethlisberger, Frye, and Gradkowski. Herbstreit talked about how Gradkowski has been rushed into starting as a rookie and has played pretty well.
7-0 CMU

Kirk must have a loose definition of well.
14-7 CMU

Fumble by Ohio WR. Central Michigan recovers.
Speaking of Quarterbacks, both Bower and Lefevour hail from the west suburbs of Chicago (Hinsdale and Downers Grove, respectively)
FG CMU

17-7 CMU
I have Dave Ruthenberg sitting beside me so I'm gonna throw a couple of shameless plugs in here for both of our sites:

He meant he has played well for a NFL rookie. He also said that he has as good of stats as any of the other rookie QB's.

I don't understand why you are being so mean towards Bruce. On the UT board that is all that you do is rip him and say he will never be a good NFL QB. He's a friggin' rookie. You can't expect him to to be as good as Tom Brady is right now. It's generally better for rookies to hold the clipboard and learn, maybe even for 2 years. He was forced into playing right away because of Tampa Bay's QB problems, which Simms got hurt because Tampa Bay's offensive line sucks I might add.
Ohio FG makes it 17-10 and now a Ohio INT in the endzone.

Gotta ask you guys who are there, are Fowler and Herbstreit really there broadcasting? Every time they show them, the background looks like a green screen shot of them in a studio somewhere.

He hasn't played well this year. He has missed chance after chance down the field. The Dallas and Carolina games owuld have been COMPLETELY different if he could hit a deep ball.

He just doesn't have the arm strength to be a starter. He'll be a fine NFL backup though. Not a bad way to make a living.
CMU just needs to put this game away!!!
Tonight's attendance - 25,483 - about double last year's attendance.

Looks like Bower is coming back in for Ohio.
