I think someone had mentioned there is a bar owned by an NIU alum - does anyone know the name of that bar?
I think you are talking about GinBucks. Also I think in 2004 McGees had an NIU event for our bowl game. Maybe Goose Island will stepup this year as well. There is also another bar in Lincoln Park that was supposed to get an NIU flag called Kelseys, haven't seen it out yet but I haven't checked in a while either.

Thanks a lot - does anyone know the owner's name - we might want to have a NIU bowl watching party there on the 19th for those not traveling to the game.
I'm looking for somewhere in the city that will have the game on too.
Just FYI...For those in the suburbs, The Elmhurst House on St Charles Road and Route 83 in Elmhurst is a NIU supporting bar and will have the game on the big screen.
Goose Island in Wrigleyville is an NIU bar and had watch parties all year. I went for the Sunday night game this year and they had an alumni association rep and a couple cheerleaders. It was a good time.

I would bet they are doing something similar for the bowl game.

Were there a lot of Huskie fans there?

I heard they had a good crowd from some friends that went. Hopefully they show the bowl game there. There is finally an interest for NIU althetics brewing amongst the alumni in the city.
