If it pans out anything like this - I like it! We have a shot to earn bowl wins over the Big 12, the Big East, the MWC and C-USA. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

MCB
Central Michigan vs. Kansas or Oklahoma St

GMAC
Ohio vs. SoMiss or ECU

International Bowl
Western Michigan vs. Cincy or Pitt

San Diego
NIU vs. TCU or Utah

My worst fear for the MCB is that we end up with either San Jose State (7-4) of the WAC or another CrapUSA team which would include Marshall should they beat SoMiss today.

Geez, I guess you have been living under a rock the past few weeks and haven't been paying attention. The only teams available for the MCB to face-off against CMU will be WMU, NIU, Troy, UL-Lafayette, or possibly Middle Tennessee. No 6-6 BCS schools will be filling bowl slots outside of their respective conferences this year.
Given that the Irish are being pounded tonight by USC, I consoled the house full of Domers by indicating bids to the San Diego County Credit Union Bowl were still open. All is not lost.

Suffice it to say they don't share the MAC's enthusiasm for the warm up acts. Heard something to the essence of never hearing "Poinsettia Bowl" and Notre Dame in the same sentence again.

P.S. Is profanity a venial or mortal sin for Catholics?

I guess USC is a bit tougher competition for the Domers than the service academies.

I guess so, too. But I've retreated and am not asking any more questions for the evening.
With Tulsa, Rice, and Houston all poised for bowl bids......more and more I'm thinking that if USM wins CUSA that it will probably be Houston in the GMAC. With OU entering the GMAC as a 9 or 10 win team, a 9 win Houston or 8 win USM would make sense as an opponent.

Ft.Worth can pick Tulsa or Rice.

I see ECU in the Birmingham Bowl if anywhere.
So, I guess we won't be seeing the Herd in the GMAC after all....
