You can run your mouth about the state of our hoops program last year, BUT people actually still gave a $hit about our team unlike MAC teams which makes you sound all the more sad.

5,200 fans for a team that had 8 wins and we still made twice as much $$$ at the gate as the top MAC team.

Oh yeah and

ECU vs the MAC all time in basketball 8-3

Miami 1-1
Toledo 2-2
Kent State 1-0
Ohio 2-0
Buffalo 1-0
E. Mich 1-0

We haven't been nearly as bad as you make us out to be. When you or average MAC team beats a couple of D. Wade led top 10 teams and a final four team in the last 5 years get back to me. We have beat up on Toledo a couple of time in the last 3 or 4 years when they were top 2 or 3 in your conference as well.

I would trade our potiental and what we have moving foward for ANY MAC school.

MAC might not have a great team like Memphis or UAB, but the rest of the MAC is as good as the other 10 in CUSA.

Better.........

CUSA
Houston 53
UTEP 76
UCF 190
Tulsa 203
Tulane 217
Rice 218
Marshall 231
Southern Miss. 246
SMU 268
East Carolina 300
Average RPI: 200

Average MAC RPI last season was 169...
That what I thought. MAC really needs to have elite programs of the MAC to step up and get into the top 25-50 range. Miami, Akron, WMU all lost games that were against mid majors. Forgive Kent for losing at Ohio State, but the rest of the elite basketball MAC isn't getting getting it done in week 1. Have to wonder if Akron is feeling the pressure all ready. People wrote off Ohio last year when they lost to Cincinnati and Kentucky. Akron losing to Arkansas Little Rock isn't gonna help those at-large chances come March. For Mid-majors, these pivital games in November and December can help a team separate from the pack. Butler has beaten Notre Dame and Indiana. I think Butler is looking a lot better than any other midmajor right now. WKY beat Georgia tonite, but we decide not to add them because of academics meanwhile we got a couple of football teams playing on TV with 4-7 records. WMU/CMU wasn't on tv...Akron/Ohio is only on ESPNu......but every losing football team in the MAC is on ESPN2. and Our three best teams are seen by nobody.
It's particularily laughable that ECU & their 300 RPI are insulting anyone's basketball programs.

Comparing CUSA 2005-6 to 2006-7, I expect Houston, UTEP, Rice, and SMU to be a bit better...and UAB to be a bit worse. Memphis is still Memphis, but I try to not talk too much conference smack. (even though no current MAC basketball team has ever beaten the Tigers! 05-stirthepot )

5,200 for a Div 1 AA school, that is impressive! 04-jawdrop

There must be nothing else to do in B.F.E., N.C. now that all the cows have been tipped.
