With yesterday's losses, Boise St has to be looking at a BCS slot. The only drawback is their conference has had an off year.

More power to them. If things go right for them, they could be one of 2 undefeateds before the "championship" game. Boy, the BCS has to be hating that.

After seeing yesterday's games, there is no one close to Zero St.
Only have to be in the Top 12 now to get in and they were like 14th before all the losses, so yeah they are a lock if they just don't slip. They almost did last night though. San Jose State played them tough.

Boise State is ranked 13 this week in both the coaches and AP poll.....If they finish ranked ahead of the top rated BCS conference representative, they are in at #16 or better.........Boise is rated higher than any ACC school up to this point, but Wake Forest is gaining ground.
The standings have officially been posted by the National Football Foundation.

BSU is 12th, Wake Forest is the top ACC right at 16th. No room for error by BSU at this point.
Boise has UT St next which has only 1 win this year and finish up at Nevada which is 7-3 and a quality opponent. They will have to win out to get a BCS bid and how sweet would that be that a nonBCS team would qualify under the new rules in the first year that nonBCS teams have an easier path to a bigtime bowl.
With only 11 BCS perfect record/one loss teams left and some of those teams having 2 games to play there will be far fewer than 11 teams with only 1 loss. A non BCS team with 1 loss and 2 BCS wins could have gotten in this year.

Unlikely. A single loss kills you in the polls if you're on the outside like Boise State is.

Highly unlikely. Yet, if it could've been done, it would've been TCU because they were ranked in the preseason and had a nice win over Texas Tech early.

Don't forget, the AP poll means absolutely NOTHING. The coaches poll and the Harris poll are the poll components of the BCS standings.

And yes, as mentioned, Boise State is #12 right now and should have no problem holding that position if they win out.

I think what you were trying to say is this: BSU is guaranteed a spot in the BCS if they are ranked 12 or better. They are also guaranteed a spot in the BCS if they are ranked 16 or better AND IF they are ranked higher than any BCS conference champion.
