How does a QB throw for 25 first half yards. That would be hard to try and do that badly. Heck I could probably throw for that much. lmfao

Umm, our QB only threw for 49 total passing yards for the GAME against you guys last week. 03-hissyfit

He's also ran for 77 yards. That's more than our "heisman" running back has had in over a month.

Why am I even taking you seriously? Aren't you the guy that predicted Ball State to compete for a conference title? Aren't you the guy that thought we could beat U of I in basketball last year?

edit: oh yeah.. and 25+ mph wind.

I'd even argue we have 2 QB's at NIU that are better QB's than Juice.

Glad I could make you laugh, but there was no joking tone in that statement. I will admit Illinois has made strides especially defensively, still a long way to go, but the QB play is one element that is really holding them back. I'll take horvath and nicholson over 4-14 for 39 yards anyday.

MD can we PLEASE make some bet about how Juice will turn out? You make the stipulations.
Honestly Trav, if you love illini so much, why arent you there??

Because I don't pick my college based on my favorite sports teams. I came here to get an education.

I'm just pointing out the basic fact that Juice will be a good player.. no.. a GREAT player.
I'd love for someone to call me an Illini football fan because that simply isn't true.

But if Juice were the true freshman QB on our team right now, I would be A LOT more excited about our future prospects. He's young right now and going to make freshman mistakes but everything about him makes you feel like he is going to be a star before his time in college is up.

Signing the #1 WR to a LOI this past week is only going to help him.

Thank you. See.. it doesn't make you an Illini fan or an anti-NIU fan for thinking this way. Anyone who has any football knowledge knows Juice is gonna be a big time player.
I will laugh right in the face and make fun of anyone who says they would rather have Horvath or Nicholson over Williams from Illinois. Have you lost you damn mind? You can't be serious when you say that can you? Do you know what Williams would do in MAC?....he would look like Vick as a freshman.

Williams was a huge factor in Illinois getting Arrelious Benn who will be a superstar no doubt. If anything is holding Illinois back, it's their atrocious defense. I see Illinois as a team that possibly next year and the year after being very competitive in the Big Ten.
This is one of the worst 2nd half collapses I have ever seen in college football, UI just completely unraveled. I guess you attribute that to it's youth.

My brother goes to Purdue so he's been calling me every few minutes asking if I'm watching. I can't wait to beat them in 2008!
Juice Watch

8-28 95 yards

Would not be too bad of a baseball batting average, but for a completion percentage? wow.

Ohhh now you're back MD. How about that bet?

Alright, that sounds cool, and i agree juice is a great player, just not on a very good team

Sure but what is "success". Being an Illini supporter your idea of success might be that he starts every year :) Im willing to bet but there would have to be some criteria to define the success. Maybe if he leads Illinois to a 9 win season as QB?

9 wins? Sure I'll take it. I was thinking more along the lines of individual success (all conference, etc) but I'll take the 9 win bet. I won't forget.

Ok then the year after he graduates, the loser has to purchase football season tickets for the other person.
