On the heels of getting a five year extension with JD, it looks like Dambrot is close to doing the same. This is great news for the Zips as both coaches have done a great job. 04-rock

I know I'd want to lock down a guy that's never accomplished anything in the postseason.
Nevermind. I was thinking of Brookhart. 05-footinmouth

When has Dambrot even seen a championship game from the Gund, except from the stands?

True! Hopefully that will change.

First test tonight though against Ark-Lil in the CBE. I want to see the Zips against Texas Tech on ESPN 2 so hopefully Akron doesn't look past Akr-Lil.
Not a bad opener. They had what was for them a very disapointing season due to injuries last year and still were almost .500.
They return the nation's leading returning rebounder -- 6-8, 232-pound senior Rashad Jones-Jennings. He'll be a load, but they are green at the guard position, which Akron should exploit. Their coach just got a multi-year extension I believe, so they like what he is doing there. They will be no pushover, though it would be an upset if the Zips lost.
Don't choke! ;-)

Please God, no more choking, Akron has done enough of that during football!

Travis and Wood should be able to contain their 6-8 rebounder........hopefully
Just curious. I only see it in print, so can someone tell me how Dambrot's last name is pronounced?
ok, I will help!

Damn-Brat!

As in give me a Damn Bratwurst!

But this only helps if you are not from Boston. Boston people say Bratwurst differently then the rest of the US, like most of their words. They put a hard 'A' on everything.
Thank you sir.
