This is a good argument about how the MAC has changed. For those that are saying that the MAC sucks this year, as Cubit says, it is cyclical. This year, it is just different and there are reasons for it.

Your thoughts?
Balance in the conference, period. Some have gained and some have lost but the middle is the theme. A couple of years ago, EMU would never handle a Toledo or NIU...they can now. Is EMU that much better...maybe not. They are better and NIU and Toledo are worse.
MAC teams did beat Virginia, Illinois, NC State, and Kansas this year.
Consider how CMU and Ohio did OOC, they are legit top teams. They might not have a star QB like Toledo, Miami, and BGSU had, but those two teams have defenses that did very well vs top 25 teams this year.
Only one of those 4 OOC teams has a shot at a bowl. I do expect Kent to give VaTech a battle and a WMU win would be huge at FSU. If WMU pulls the win out over FSU, Cubit would almost definitely get a BCS coaching offer.
Kent State's holding their own. Down 6-0 with a couple minutes to go before halftime.
