Nice column in the Buffalo News today about Tony Paoli, the Bulls Senior backup QB who will be starting again tonight. You feel good about a guy like this who literally has bounced around the country to get his one shot at Division 1a and he made it count.

You had to feel good for the guy (even though he beat us) and the way he took advantage of his one big chance. Glad he will get another.

This game is definately more interesting than it looked a couple weeks ago!
FYI- UB is having a BB pep rally in conjunction with showing the ESPNU game in a theater in the student union. The reliable sources at ubfan.com report that the team has a little chip on its shoulder due to the low expectations by the public and media. Interesting opener against cross-town rival Canisius tomorrow night! UB students planning on "taking over" the Canisius high school sized gym.
BASKETBALL SEASON IS UPON US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're still playing down, but James Starks does at least one thing every week that really impresses me. I can't wait to see how good this kid is in 3 years.

I think this means Buffalo football can finally be taken seriously. Pain-in-the @$$ status is a step up.

Not a great showing by the Bulls, still they showed that their talent level is not horrible compared to a good team like Akron. The Zips clearly had the superior QB coupled with a better offensive line. They also had some beef on the defensive line,,,,something UB sorely needs. The future looks good for UB because Gill is going to get some players that UB would normally never have a shot at.
