We concluded our 6 game MAC schedule and I saw all 6. IMO, CMU was the best team we faced. Nice offense, couple Sunday players, well coached and adaptive. I'll be watching all the MAC games and wish the conf well in Bowl play. If Chryst plan is to intro the MAC to another market then I'm a good rep of someone who otherwise might not see it. I went to 3 MAC hosted games including BG v Wisconsin. I'm watching games on tv I probably would not have watched.

I'm disappointed we were not more competitive this year. I am encouraged that many of our starters played significantly better against our opponents 2nd string. Sounds dumb but most of our starters were thrust into their situation after the remnants of our previous staff. They should have been our backups too. We will be better next year. We looked real ugly at times this year but few really understand the deterioration of our program. Case in point v BGSU:

04 BGSU (9-3) L 70-16
05 BGSU (6-5) L 70-7
06 BGSU (4-6) W 28-14

I would encourage MAC fans to consider coming to Philly next year. Philly has plenty to offer besides the game and our prices are reasonable. You can probably get a good hotel in the city for under a $100 if you look for one and end up walking distance to many of the sites Philly has. If your really on a budget you can even take a $2 train ride that will put you right at the stadium from downtown.

Good luck the rest of the wayyyyyyyy.
Nice assessment.
Now, can I get a bet on the KSU-Temple hoops game (Tuesday 11/21)? I know it's foolish of me to bet against a national program like the Owls, but I'm just being loyal alum.
You could probably use some blue and gold in your wardrobe; I mean how many of those cherry and white shirts have bled in the wash?
I'm getting much better at planning my f-ball vactions and am looking forward to the next time UT travels to TU and will enjoy an extended stay with visits to NY and DC. You're correct in that it takes some time to rebuild a program and I believe all of us assume better days ahead for Temple. Good luck with the remainder of your schedule.
Ax,
I'll give you that bet if you want it. I did payoff the other one, the NIU guy should have gotten his T by now.
I'm thinking of going to that KSU game. Should I expect to be able to get walk up tix?

On the BB side, looks like we lose our pivot and SF in 1st semester due to academic follies. Sr Dustin Salisbery & Soph Dionte Christmas are our best players and we all eagerly await 6'9" 400 LB !!!! Anthony Ivory's off season workout regimen progress...

Did I read that right? 6'9" 400 lb? Is he working out to bulk up? 04-jawdrop
Always tickets available before the OOC games pre-January. At the MACC, the last 1000 seats stink, but you could get a decent reserved seat. If you know you're going, call ahead and get a reserved seat (lower level, side-view--great seats if you only want 1-2. If you get gen. admission, get there early and sit center court, 2nd level.
Im hoping to make it down to Phily for for temple ub game. I believe it would be a pretty good game, both teams are looking down compared to last years teams, but they both still have a lot of talent. Salisbury is a monster, and if Tyndale is still on the team, he is also a baller. Temple got a great PG from NJ i think, Luis Guzman, he should step in immediatly and play well, like Chris Lowe from UMass did last year.
I've made Toledo's last two trips to Philly to play Temple, 2001 and 2005. Both were nice trips. There's a lot to do in Philly so you can make it a whole weekend trip.

I encourage everyone to come visit CMU where you can get a room for $23.50 ($24.50 if you want it for more than an hour....or is that too much information?). I mean ....errr...we have a casino!
Thought the casino was on the Delaware side of the water.
I was in Philly for the BG debacle, and it was cool to be in that NFL stadium. Comfortable seats; for now you can sit just about anywhere at a Temple game, which is nice.
