Hello, Brian Kelly?

Let's hope he gets John Shannon to be his OC there. ;-)

So long Mr Kelly and Mr Shannon! lmfao
Take Kelly. Take anyone.

Just don't look toward Kzoo... Move along... Nothing to see there. :shhh:

By all accounts, someone like Cubit is what MSU may need: Sweep out the problem childs and those who 'don't care', install discipline and classroom performance, and treat every position on the field as a privilege and not a right. In many ways, WMU 2004 was similar to MSU 2006.

But the boosters may only be satisfied with someone with BCS pedigree and a history of bowl experience, in which case Bronco and Chip fans should (hopefully) breathe easier.
Steve Mariucci is un(der?)employed and has a good buddy in East Lansing already. Seems to me that would be a no brainer.

That's the name I hear the most, along with Fritz Shurmer, as candidates. As for Kelly, move along, Sparty, nothing to see here. Nothing at all. :shhh:

No. Hello Steve Mariucci.

I've been pissed at John L. ever since he resigned from Louisville one hour before the GMAC bowl. He's an idiot, and will fit in the C-USA perfectly.
Wow! Several posts from rockettes and no mention of GB? WOW!!!

He better not go anywhere. We love him at BG!

It's quite simple really. CMU boosters just need to send a tape of the last drive of the Boston College game to MSU administration. That should make them look elsewhere. 05-stirthepot

You're a few weeks late to " 05-stirthepot " with that comment. Kelly already admitted that trying that play with such a young QB in the game (although he's grown up fast) in that situation wasn't the best idea. Thanks for the tape idea, though. 03-idea

lmfao
No moss grows under the feet of MAC Report Online.

I called CMU and they issued the following statements (nothing surprising):

Head Coach Brian Kelly:
Wow--back to back non-denial denials!
Sounds like Kelly is GONE. 05-stirthepot

But not to MSU. Too inexperienced at D-I level. It's more likely that ex-Miami/Browns coach Butch Davis coming in. He's been eyeing the North Carolina job but MSU is a better football school than UNC. Probably has deeper pockets also.
From what I have heard on some talk radio shows today and this evening, Butch Davis is a serious candidate for the job. I also heard Joe Schad from ESPN say that Mariucci has some questions about the MSU job and Schad does not think he will end up there. He did not mention any other candidates other than the two I mentioned.
