I'm Garrett Wolfe ... Welcome to my world

Cool article in the latest magazine of SportingNews. 2 page spread with photos. Unfortunately, no photos for the online version of the article.
Ahh, the good ole Sporting News kiss of death right before the UT game. 05-stirthepot
No jinx at all, his last 3 game totals combined (136 yards) are much less than any game (162 yards) he's had all season or even going all the way back to last September against Akron and Tenn. Tech. I guess that trip to NYC was cancelled long ago.
Yes, I agree. The Heisman hype for Garret is now on full life support just like Kent State's post-season chances.

Still leads the nation in rushing by over 250 yards rushing. Next best running back in the MAC has nearly 700 rushing yards fewer than Wolfe.
Don't forget he played an extra game than some of those guys right behind him. Here's the current ESPN ranking:

Kent State has already exceeded it's expectations for the year, playoffs are a bonus.

Don't forget he has sat out a lot of playing time against teams like Buffalo, Indiana State and Temple. Between playings those three teams, Garrett Wolfe has lost nearly 6 Qtrs of playing time (90 mins = 1 1/2 games).
You're right and those guys didn't sit out when they were winning games as well. Of the other RBs on the Top 15 Heisman list, Slaton has 151 carries, Johnson has 169 carries and Lynch has 132 carries to Wolfe's 213 carries.

I can't believe you just argued that. Guys like Tedd Ginn and Troy Smith haven't missed any playing time this year because of their team being way ahead. 01-wingedeagle

I don't know what you're trying to say. Tedd Ginn and Troy Smith never seem to miss any time when their team is ahead, yes this is true. But Garrett Wolfe has been taken out during the very early 3rd Qtr of games against Buffalo, Indiana St., and Temple. Maybe Ohio State is just trying to pad Smith's stats so he can win the Heisman.
Why in the world would anyone on this board NOT be rooting for GW (except when he is playing your team). A MAC person would actually extol the virtues of a BCS guy over an "US" guy. Why?

We all know the problems GW has faced the past few games, but here's to him and US in the last 3. More exposure for him, the more exposure for the conference. Without him this year, oh boy. ESPN has not been mesmorized by any team in the MAC this year...It's been GW or nada.
Look, if you want to defend Wolfe, point out the injuries to the OL or the lack of a big-play receiving threat (Hurd). It would also be valid to point out that Wolfe is getting the Barry Sanders treatment from defenses (everyone on him on every play). But that argument you just used...I have to agree with RocketFootball and Polish Hammer.
Wolfe getting the big press is obviously good for the MAC as a whole, I merely stated a fact until somebody tried to respond with a smartass comment offtopic. Looks like Ian Johnson of Boise State is taking the lead for non-BCS school players, especially RBs. They're on TV alot and his team is ranked high so it looks like he may get that trip to NYC.

Not to mention our QB can't throw it accurately more then 5 yards. Doesn't help our OL is hurt and our WR can't catch.

Wow, this is going to be an interesting game next Tuesday because you just described the UT offense. lmfao
Wolfe was just interviewed on Cold Pizza. I was surprised to hear them still asking Heisman-related questions after the past three weeks, but it was cool that he got some air time.

Yeah, should be a real winner for ESPN. At Iowa I pretty much sat the entire game with my head buried in my hands. That hasnt happened since the streak, actually I can't even remember the last time I sat at a game. Defense was fun to watch though.
