27,039. Not bad at all. Temple and a tough loss last week.

Very good showing for the Huskies.
:clap2:
i was pretty surprised, and for the most part, many fans stayed until the game was pretty much completely out of hand
That crowd was awesome it was a great time 02-13-banana 02-13-banana 02-13-banana 02-13-banana
The game was sold out. I had to buy tickets from a scalper.

i had to walk back to neptune and ask people on my floor for two extra student tickets. Luckily they didn't check student ID's because my friends don't go to NIU. I didn't expect it to sellout. Great turnout today!
Great gametime weather, now not so much...but great football weather at kickoff
Awesome croud, even better tailgate. This was picture perfect day at Huskie Stadium.

You could barely walk around in the tailgating lot on the east side of the stadium. It was packed as hell!

I was impressed too. I would be pissed if we had the showing that Miami and Western Michigan had for their homecoming games.
The weather really helped. A few peeks of sun, little wind, and rain holding off until 4Q were key.

:iagree:

One of our best crowds. It was really packed all around the stadium before the game. I was expecting maybe 20,000 to 22,000. The setup over at the Alumni Center was terrific. We got a real break with the weather holding off. Great job Huskie fans.
Yes, the crowd was impressive. But can I play devil's advocate for a minute here??

I was still unable to find another two tickets that I needed for the game. Ya, there were some being scalped at tailgaiting and maybe I could've looked a little harder, but basically I was turned away. I know I wasn't alone. I met up with a lot of people yesterday, several of which did not have tickets and to the best of my knowledge, never did find tickets and get into the game.

So we were supposedly sold out, yet 1,000+ under capacity. What if it did rain? We were VERY lucky the weather held off. If the weather had been as bad as forecasted, this could've been a crowd in the neighborhood of 22-24K that was "sold out".

Something is just wrong here. Oversell the east, oversell the east!! Do what airlines do. If for some reason, the east actually does reach the max capacity (whatever that is), then start putting overflow on the south hill. Some people may be inconvienenced, but this would be a GOOD problem to have.

That crowd yesterday could've touched 29 or 30K in my opinion if this was done.
800-900 no shows apparently ate their tickets.

Hard to believe NIU could not sell SRO for south end zone hill to fans unlikley to storm the field. Extra security and temp fencing would help.

How many here from Temple - 20? I saw a few dark red hats in the lower corner of West stands.....and about 100-200 empty seats above them . When does NIU ticket office start selling their allottment? I also noticed a few scattered empty seats around me in section C - plus below press box and in chairbacks .

How many likley from NIU will be at Temple next time Huskies are in Philly?

Man, the TU team motored outta Huskie stadium in a hurry. I think the four Peoria charter buses were on I-88 heading east to airport shortly after we left the post game show - only stayed five minutes- before going to a CLOSED VCB at 5:30pm & then leaving for home .

What are they thinking? Many of us were turned away at the door. (Alum Center gift shop has limited selection) Homecoming weekend and VCB cannot extend closing a few hours after the game ends? Yeash.!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would contact the VCB about that....I imagine the owner would not be too happy to hear employees did that.

Best part of the day? Five of us guys standing on the Huskie mobile watching the two girls grinding and making out with each other.

And then they made in to Stadium to show their love for the Huskies too, right?!!
