I don't know anything about his basketball skills.
But I'm told by a reliable source outside NIU Athletics that Mr. House is a solid person... a person of high character. And yes, after situations like the Miami/FIU debacle, I think this is important.
NIU has clearly stepped it up recruiting wise...impressive.
I've seen him play in high school. He is a "project." But definitely worth it to see if we can develop him, IMO.

Agree totally..he needs to put on weight, get muscular. I watched him when Rock Falls played in the Convo last season. Skinny 7 footer that needs a lot of work but has potential.
hey, he was looking at depaul and siu and chose us over them. Thats awesome. Plus i'll take any 7-footer. Gunna need that to replace Hughes.
I like 7ft too, but he only had offers from Buffalo and two Ivy league schools.

He must have the grades if Ivy League was recruiting him. That's good. As for being 7 feet, you can't teach height...
house is finally coming into his own as a player and, although still considered a project, he should round into a nice lane presence for the huskies, especially on defense.
also, he is a good person and will definitely boost the team gpa.
