OOC BCS wins Ohio, WMU, Akron and Toledo.
Ohio key wins NIU, WMU, Illinois(BCS) key loss vs BGSU
WMU key wins NIU, Virginia(BCS) key loss at Ohio
BGSU key wins Ohio
NIU key losses vs WMU and Ohio

CMU has no OOC wins while Kent State has 1.

Akron is 0-2 in the MAC but losses are to CMU and Kent State. They are still alive for the third bowl if they finish strong. Must beat Ohio and BGSU.

Once again: The Motor City gets first pick. If Central Michigan is in the mix, the Motor City would probably take Central Michigan.

Kent State definitely has the inside track on the division title, but it seems very much up in the air whether the GMAC would take them or leave them for Toronto. I would guess the latter; Kent State fans are not exactly in the habit of trying to stockpile vacation days for bowl trips.

With the Northern Illinois Wolfes stuffed by Western Michigan, the MAC's third bowl invitation would appear to be a complete crap shoot.
BGSU got a chance to reach 8 wins. How many wins would get international bid w/o a strong OOC resume.
The MACC attendance was hurt last year by teams whose campuses were in distant cities called Akron and DeKalb.

This year one could be the home stated Central Michigan team with many alums throughout the lower half of MI and SE MI.

I believe CMU fans showed up big for the game vs. EMU at Ford Field two years ago.

Hope they show for the MACC (if it happens).

It's been a LONGGGGGGGG time coming and that's one vacation I can't wait to take in the winter where I'm actually going north.
Any chance that Birmingham might open up to the MAC too? If Kent beats Va Tech I think they will. BTW, whoever plays in the international will get to say they were the first football team in the history of the MAC to play in a bowl game in January

Actually, if the Falcons run the rest of the table, they would have 9 wins. The remaining schedule:

Thursday: at Central Michigan
Oct. 28: at Temple
Nov. 4: at Akron
Nov. 15: Miami
Nov. 21: at Toledo

Central Michigan looks like a challenge, but I do think the Falcons have at least a chance to win every one of those games (and none of them are gimmies for our young team). We'll see what happens.

You are welcome to post for the next two months straight about the dramatic statement the Bobcats supposedly made at Illinois, but it doesn't concern me enough to get drawn into an argument about it.

Don't forget about Western Michigan, either. They gutted out a nice win at Virginia, and they shut down the Wolfe.

There is a whole lot of football to be played yet.
