45-10 in third ...ouch Buffallo
Buffalo scores in 4rth quarter against 2-3 string of ball state.
Ball state answers with a 41 yard TD pass... OUCH
52-17 over Buffalo 12:55 left in game-

Correction BSU still has first team in game except on D.
Mixing in 2-3rd string WR's and keeping QB and line in rotating by play only.

This one is going to get even uglier unless BSU goes to pure running and takes it's time getting to the line rest of the game.
They broke 50 pts...they might take it easy from now on...
Drew willy not giving up- TD buffalo
2 pt conversion good

52-25 Ballstate over buffalo
looks like onside kick good by Buffalo and driving hard on BSU...
Willy fumbles late into the drive BSU recovers...
Next play BSU rushes 53 yards with 3rd stringer! OUCH
BSU just rushing the ball now-- using time
Good job Ball St, but a horrible day for UB in front of a really nice crowd that was pumped up. This sets the UB program back
to square one this season. Turner Gill is going to need to recruit defense in a big way and try to get more explosive on Offense. Ball St has a great future with that offense of theirs.
BJ jackson 40 yard FG good 55-25 BSU 4:05 left in game
Buffalo has Paoli at QB now giving second team some experience.
55-25 final and some amazing stats for both QB's in this game.

Actually I think it was by BJ Hill, who started today's game. BSU plays Hill, Lewis, and Bostic (who reportedly missed today's game due to a death in the family) considerably so there really isn't a 1st/2nd/3rd stringer among the RBs.

Offense really hasn't been the problem this season although the running game has been bad.
It's going to be interesting to see what happens in Buffalo after this. They squeaked by Temple at home and then lost three straight. Since those three losses weren't the typical 55-7 scores, there was a lot of optimism for this game against a struggling BSU squad. But Buffalo showed it is still a solid 12th of 12 schools in the MAC today. It was a shame since the crowd was a nice size and this was Homecoming. A good showing could have really gotten the local community behind UB. However, the refrain on the radio, on the boards and in the media will be "SOB" (same old Bulls).

I am pretty sure the basketball forum postings will pick up in a big way on http://www.ubfan.com starting tomorrow!

Yep. If there was ever one loss that could sink a season it was this one. Maybe we come out next week and play our asses off and win, but im guessing it wont be in front of alot of people. And it shouldnt be, i feel ripped off today and im a student so my ticket was free.
I am totally baffled at what happened! 04-jawdrop

Gorgeous day, good crowd, homecoming, 2 weeks to get ready, playing a struggling team that can't run and can't stop the run. I was ready for a statement game. Starks right, Starks left, Starks up the middle. We got one, but it by Ball State! 04-bow

I expected the Turner Gill team which has played hard all year and did the little things to stay in games (don't turn the ball over, give up big plays, or take penalties). I mean, even with the losses, it was such an improvement over the last several years. Until today.

On its first 6 possessions, Ball State scored 5 TDs and a FG. Throw in a blocked punt for a touchdown. Ball State didn't even have to throw a pass on the opening possession. The game wasn't as close as the final score.

Congrats to Ball State. UB has some serious regrouping before Miami next week. Kind of wierd to be relieved they're playing Miami instead of Kent for the next game.
