I'm not sure how many people noticed it, but the Goodyear blimp just flew over DeKalb en route to Soldier Field for tonights bears game!!!

I wouldn't have known what it was for but you could read the side and it said Go Bears!
Go Seahawks!

Damn, Bears looked unbeatable tonight.
yeah, noticed that. I was wondering if it was going to the bears game. thought it was kinda late for it though. That was pretty cool to see, flew about 100 feet over my dorm!
The Bears looked awesome tonight. Just getting back from the game and it was loud. And I know that I have a sore throat. The offense is looking good. I pray that when Grossman sees Berrian without safety help over the top that he can audible and toss it that way. The DBs can't stay with him and yet the NFL is still playing the Bears defensively by taking away the run.
We'll know we're big time if there is ever a blimp flying over one of our football games.

Isn't the area over Huskie Stadium restricted air space? Or is that just on game days?

Just on gamedays.
So that's why the blimp was flying over. I couldn't figure it out.

I wouldn't have thought a regular season game was blimp-worthy.
My mom just sent photos of the blimp flying over their neighborhood in the southwest suburbs.
Was it the one stationed in Akron?

Hey Kedz, I am not sure that is even effect anymore. While the planes didn't fly directly over the stadium(circled it) in Columbus, they did fly close enough where a slight nudge of the controls and the plane plows right into the stadium. Not to mention, jets were flying just to the North of the stadium(within a few miles) in and out of the Columbus airport. Not difficult to change course of one of those either. But you don't have to worry Kedz, Bush has it all under control. Heck, we haven't been hit in 5 years. [Image: rolleyes.gif]
