We put up 610 yards of total offense against Ball State.

NIU is averaging 467 ypg (good for 7th best in the nation; more than last season) and 30.8 ppg. No team in the MAC can stop our offense, and its only getting better week by week.
Pretty Cool,

However if we are to win the MAC

1) Our defense needs to keep improving particularly our pass defense. This will be tough with our undersized D line

2) We need to show that we can pass the ball against a good defense. Maybe last night will give us some confidence to build on.
The only complaint I have is our 40.6% 3rd down conversion percentage. Hopefully with the steps forward in the passing game we can build on that. Failure to make 3rd down conversions hurt us badly against Ohio.

Yes, that and the 10 sacks.

Our offense is starting to "click" nicely, yet there's always room for improvement. Joe and the gang must keep emphasizing 3rd downs and better pass protection.

Still though, the defense is the achilles heel and will be our undoing if we can't win the MAC.
Last night was a great offensive effort, finally we are utilizing all the weapons in our arsenal. To have a guy as skilled as Britt Davis and not use him was plain criminal. A player that jumped out at me last night was B. Davis, he showed quickness that I did not think he had. The run after the catch was a beautiful thing to see from him.

I agree, except I knew he was that fast.

Need to make sure he is involved in the passing game.

Ahh B. Davis really helps when there are 2 B's on your team. I meant Brandon about the speed I was surprised about, is that who you are talking about too?
