[b]What to make of the 2006 Temple Owls? Last year was really bad (0-11), but this year looks to be even worse. If the rest of the season plays out like the first three games, where do you put the 2006 Owls on the "Worst I-A college teams of the past 25 years" list? At the top? What is the current top 5? Also, how do you fix this mess? Just drop to I-AA or switch to a pure option attack, and run, run, run to a "respectable" 4-8/5-7 every year in an effort to become Navy-lite?
That can't be changed, at least not directly.

It's pretty disappointing.

The MAC has to start doing things differently, as that legacy is embarassing.

Isn't it interesting, though, that two teams are from BCS conferences?

Wasn't #4 worse than "#1"? What's up with that?
As a 1994 Ohio graduate.......yes, I witnessed the Litchenburg era. That was pure high school football right down to the coaches son playing QB. I'm sure if Lictenburg recruited farther than the dinning room table for a QB, Ohio would have won some games. I remember one home game vs Ball State where it was 31-0 at the half......Bobcats QBs was 1-8 with 3 picks, 2 fumbles, 6 sacks and a completed screen pass that lost 4 yards in the first half. We were begging the QB to just take a knee to give us something to cheer. They did take a knee at the end of the half but Ball State called time out, then we had to punt and Ball State blocked it. That was the ugliest football performance I have ever seen. Athens High would have beat the Bobcats that day.

1994 was my freshman year at Ohio University. I think I only went to one game that entire season and although I can remember who it was against (was not a Ohio fan yet at that point- Grobe did that for me), I distinctly remember yelling down from the stands at the play calling. I am no offensive coordinating genius, but even I could tell that our play calling was absolutely horrible. More than a couple of times I would yell and complain about the play called and then hold my head as the play we just called got completely shut down. 03-weeping Those are the days where people would watch the band and then leave at half time. Thank god Grobe came in the following year. Three seasons later we were 8-3.
