Rose recruited me when he was the HC at Miami. He seemed like he was totally laid back. In fact, that kind of turned me off about going to Miami. I didn't think the HC was going to be that involved...looks like he still has the fire going though.

It's been my experience that the best head coaches (for example Joe Paterno) tend to stand back and let their coaches coach. IMHO a Head Coach shouldn't be intimately involved in something such as play calling because that is what an Offensive Coordinator is for. If the HC calls the plays then why do you have an OC?

But ultimately it all comes down to each individual and their interaction with their people. What works well for one team doesn't neccessarily work well with another team.

They need to also make him blocking coach for the WR's and DB's.
