OK, not really, but the incident did impact the game on Saturday:

MAC-related tangent:
CMU's Tony Mikulec is #1 in punting, just ahead of Ball States Chris Miller. Could be some good competition for not only All-MAC, but possibly All-American, as Miller ws named to some preseason lists.
Quote:Statistic of the week:
Michael York averaged 25.7 yards in three punts for Northern Colorado. Why should anyone care? Northern Colorado's No. 1 punter Rafael Mendoza was allegedly stabbed in the leg last week by No. 2 punter Mitch Cozad. Possibly a Tonya Harding-Nancy Kerrigan thing. No. 3 punter Jason Hildenbrand was hurt in the second half of Saturday's game at Texas State. Which left No. 4 York, whose first punt went 7 yards.
Northern Colorado won 14-13, by the way. The deciding touchdown was scored on a blocked punt. We couldn't make up this stuff.
