Just saw the write-up on CBS Sportsline...Cochran was 15 for 47 for something like 150 yards......anyway, time to call it a night......no matter how much I poke fun at how bad I thought Cochran was, I'm happy as hell to see the Rockets pull off the win tonight.
Congrats Toledo!

It seems to me Toledo Tom wants to run the same system that he had under Gradkowski. It's not working! Give the damn ball to Parmerle and let the offensive line go to work! It worked for the Broncos last week!

Quote: why is everyone slipping on the turf??

It's the same reason why we got rid of that turf over the summer: Nexturf sucks. Toledo need to go to Field Turn now!!!
One last comment before I call it a night: This is the kind of win that will help keep a non-deserving team like Kansas outta a winning record and a bowl at the end of the year....I wouldn't be shocked to see Kansas end up 5-7, and this win by Toledo could be a key in keeping them out of a bowl game, and possibly a non-BCS team in the bowl instead.
WHO CARES ABOUT KANSAS!

Toledo won.....
I agree wins over BCS can impact the bowls. Several BCS teams that lined up a D-AA and a couple non-bsc team in hopes of reaching 6 wins.

Toledo is back in the bowl hunt. A MAC team needs to go atleast 2-2 OOC and go atleast 6-2 in the MAC to reach a bowl. With 12 games, 8 wins is probably the cutline for reaching the international bowl. Assume that three MAC teams will go 6-2 or better in the MAC. Considering that Pitt is much better and Toledo has allready lost a MAC game. Toledo needed to beat Kansas tonite. Toledo got the job done.

I don't know why you give special attention to "BCS" teams like Kansas when they have nothing on anyone else.

It will only inflate the BCS lovers' opinions of the system.
Congrats Toledo, outstanding win!!!

5OTs in 3 games wow.

GO MAC!!
The reason to note bowl implications of the Kansas loss is that if BCS teams like Kansas can't get to 6-6, it opens up a possible slot for a C-USA, MAC, or some other non-BCS school.

P.S. saw the box score today...crowd of 22,118...not too bad for a Friday night. The stadium was pretty packed in the first half, but it was kind of strange how many folks left at halftime with a close game in the works...the home side and endzones stayed full throughout the game I thought.

Dammit....I'm trying to be positive here.

Cochran DID NOT throw an interception. Come on....work with me here! ;-)

Not from a lack of trying. Obviously the Kansas coaches had a very clear cut group of players that MUST play D due to their stonehands.

There were parties to attend, smoky bars to cram into, and drinking to be done. God forbid they miss a couple hours of these activities to watch the remainder of a tight football game. 03-no

6,659 at the Hens game last night.
Easily 20,000+ (30,000?) at HS football games around NW Ohio & SE Michigan.
Some of those people. 8,000 maybe, would have been at UT's game normally .

Imagine yelling that with everyone else in the stadium? 04-chairshot

I hear many fans have got that message through to Tom in the last day and a half.

We will see if things change......hopefully they do because Shannon is setting Cochran up to fail even more when all he does is call passing plays.
