After a shaky start and a 21-0 deficit, we finished the first half strong. I haven't heard official confirmation, but it appears Bazuin got his first sack of the season versus Henne. 02-13-banana On a down note, starting LB Ike Brown appears to have suffered a sprained knee. He got of the field on his feet but was in obvious discomfort. 03-no
They're hanging in there but need to get some kind of running game going.

If Lloyd Carr knew how to coach, he'd have Henne slinging the ball and could open this game up. That is what keeps scUM from being a contender - he doesn't exploit the weakness of his opponent. Not that impressed with the Wolverines, despite all the talent.

CMU's D stepped up a bit in the 2nd qtr. They'll need a lot more of that to stay in this game. LeFevre has looked pretty good. Brown really cost them right before his injury when he lined up offsides and the D stopped them. Penalty gave them 1st down and scUM scored on the next play.
AAArrrgggghhhh! Dropped TD pass by us! 03-hissyfit
I got some free tickets and went to the game. I must say, even though the score didn't really represent it, CMU played a good game. They were able to move the ball pretty easily against Michigan and aside from about 3 huge mistakes the game could have been close. The 3 I was thinking about were LeFevour's fumble as CMU was knocking on the doorstep, LeFevour's interception that was run back for a TD and the fumble by Sneed. Even with his mistakes, LeFevour easily outplayed Henne, who by the way really sucks. Michigan better get ready for a beatdown next week.
