Deep laceration in hand, definitely out for Rockets game.
Does Peregrin the JC QB or Haas get the start?
I believe Haas graduated. There's Peregrin, Clark, Hiller (injury redshirt, I doubt they'll remove it), and ?.

You're right.
The WMU roster is showing 6 QBs-Hiller,Reedy,Cubit,Peregrin,Clark,and Burdi.

Peregrin but don't be suprised to see Clark, at some point.
Although Cubit had a few errors he was 16-21 fopr 160 in one half. Made two mistakes that were costly.
i believe we can win this football game, the game is at home and the defence was played well and shutdown Hardy, we have a shot as long as we can run the ball
You did give 39 points to Indiana and UT moved up and down the field against a Big12 team (43 points in OT) so I wouldn't expect you shut down Toledo.

21 of those points came off of O turnovers.

i'm now worried about this game with an inexperienced QB...

Hiller's on the roster, but it would take everyone else getting injured before they put him out there. He'll be sitting out this year and coming back for his sophomore season next year.
Cochran completed 79.6% of his passes (39 of 49) for 367 yards, 3 TD's, and just 1 INT. He completed those passes to 9 different receivers.

Toledo scores at least 28 points, and probably more like 35-42 points against WMU this weekend. I can't see them scoring that much on our defense either.

Sorry WMU fans, this is going to be much tougher than Indiana was.
Any guestimate as to how long Cubit will be out?

It probably depends on how Peregrin/Clark play this weekend. Cubit said he is looking to return for Virginia the following week but if the laceration is as deep as they say, it's going to be hard for him to get a good grip on the ball, even two weeks down the road.

With that said, if our offense gets completly shut down next week against Toledo (a real possibility), I'd guess Cubit will give it a try in Virginia.

He took a helmet to a finger on the trowing hand. Cut was so deep the bone popped out. When he came off te foeld he popped it back in, saving any more damage. I doubt we will see him until Temple. Va. possible but doubtful.
