I think the comparisons to Cribbs are a bit far-fetched just yet. It is taking away just how special Cribbs was to compare every future "mobile" quarterback to him. As an 18-year-old freshman, he had a 5-4 record as a starter.
I think Machen and Edelman will split time Thursday, but I would like to see one take complete control of the job before we get too far.
I agree with KStud - comparing this guy to Cribbs is doing an injustice to Cribbs. Cribbs WAS Kent State Football for a few years.
I hate Kent State but I will give credit where credit is due, and Cribbs was the real deal. Thank God the Browns got'em!

If the players they recruited in 06 live up to their billing they should pull Kent up to at least mediocre. AN offense that can't generate 100 rushing yards per game is an almost impossible obstacle to winning football.
