that indeed MAC moved to XOS from CSTV because of all of the problems with CSTV and what the MAC could or should I say couldn't do.

The website is a WORK IN PROGRESS. It will take time to get all the content, etc. from the old to new site.

Don't look for the finished product over night. A lot of work. Might be talking say a month or so.
MACcess is apparently being delayed until the website is completed. 03-weeping

Quote:That shouldn't be the case. Other athletics departments switched from CSTV over to XOS on 7/1 and had fully functional websites that day. CMU switched on 7/1 and everything was ready. Past press releases, etc. It was all there.

Switching to a new web hosting and design company shouldn't be that hard because they should have already been working with the MAC on the site. Instead it looks like there was a disconnect and the site was quickly set up so the MAC wouldn't have a down website on 7/1 when CSTV's contract ended.

I hate to down the MAC, but in terms on I-A websites, the MAC has always been lacking information on their site and leaving other information on the front page that was no longer pertinent (an ESPN deal signed in '03 is still on the front page). Even the Sun Belt had more pertinent info last year, even while they had site limitations because of Katrina.

I COMPLETLEY AGREE -NO EXCUSE TO NOT LAUNCH WITH ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES - THAT'S WEB DESIGN 101 SH!T
If Im in the MAC front office I AM PISSED!!!!...unless they got what they paid for (which in this case should be pro-bono...)

WHAT IS YOUR OPINION???
