Even more reason why the MAC should have its own conference channel. A lot of MAC games are televised by Comcast channels. We better hurry up and talk to Comcast, this way we can get the Comcast SportsNet Chicago (Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Iowa) and Comcast Local (Michigan & Indiana). Then have Comcast split 50/50 with Fox SportsNet which reaches states like Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York.
Wow. A regional deal that will only be available on "expanded basic" in one mountain time zone market and on digital cable only in several others.

Please tell me why our reaction here should be anything more than "whoopity doo-da."
Because it really screws up our plans to penetrate the Wyoming media market.

Cue the Brokeback Mountain quips.
The MWC also was able to get 8-10 games on OLN/Versus, probably all Saturday games. Not a bad catch. Not as many viewers as ESPN, but Comcast can now pitch some college football to other cable companies, along with the NHL, Tour de France, National Lacrosse League and possibly Arena Football.

C-USA games might end up there too.

Well it means a lot more MWC football games are going to be on TV than MAC games.

"whoopity doo-da"!

Papa Lou you're being a jerk as usual, but at least you're a jerk to everybody and not just me. It took me a while to figure that out though. lmfao

I just went back and looked at the current TV schedule the vaunted ESPN network has given the MAC this year. MAC OOC games are on ESPNU, ESPN360, ESPN Plus, etc. Then when ESPN does actually give you ESPN or ESPN2, they insist that you play for them on a Tuesday, Thursday, Friday or Sunday night. I didn't realize how bad ESPN treats the MAC until I reviewed the schedule. They treat the MAC like a red-haired stepchild.
I would think at this point that the Mountain West people have to be pretty disappointed with the clearance their coverage is getting. There not even in San Diego or Salt Lake yet from what I have heard.

The games on OLN are nice- but OLN had Stanley Cup hockey and it got a .6 which is about half of what they would have got on ESPN.

I wonder what has more coverage right now- the Mountain West network or FSN Ohio. Those are big states- it might be FSN Ohio.
