new CFN Preseason Rankings
Kicking off with the teams, like Temple, that should struggle.
I'm not sold on Golden yet, His D gave up 50 points with NFL LB at Vir. Off the field he seems to be doing everything right [recuriting & building intrest]. If Temple can steal 4 wins this yr, With SOS going down & talent level go up. Looks like Temple is stepping away from money games which was there achilles heel in B-E [0-4 starts]. Maybe turn around in '07. I'm intrested in who temple gets from west in conf sch. Temple never got break from B-E, wondering if MAC going to help or hinder Temple with sch.
How did the Big East not give Temple a scheduling break? There were nine Big East teams back then, you played every other conference member for eight games, then Temple chose three or four non-conference games for themselves.

And I don't think Temple is stepping away from money games, or you'd be playing a home game against Clemson in Philly, not in Charlotte.
The last few years Temple was in the Big east but did not recieve big east revenue.

Second, While they were still in the big east Temple was asked to schedule better teams so that there strength of schedule and OC schedule would be hire. They figured a loss against an ACC school was better then a loss against a 1-AA school.
Of course, it will be a struggle. We are completely re-building the program. We'll be an asset to the MAC. In '07 we'll be playing Penn State as a MAC member in a sold out stadium broadcast throughout east and Big Ten. This time, TUFB will be ready.

AS for the CFN Temple review, Golden has explained the DL has been a strength. So much so that he's moved some of the back ups to OL. We have 2 legit pro prospects but, you'll see that for yourself...
I have concerns about Temple. I will not be surprised if they are challenging for the MAC title in the next few years. They have access to some talent and have already been able to get commitments from some players who are considered to be above the normal MAC recruits. While Temple football has been pretty much of a joke in the past, they are now in a conference in which they have the potential to compete. If they get a few wins this season vs. MAC teams, they could start building some momentum which will help their recruiting. Stay tuned. Their first game vs. Buffalo should be interesting.
They better gets wins against MAC Schools this year, they're playing Buffalo and Kent State, if they lose to them there recruiting will be worse off then ever before!
