Excluding major renovation projects what type of improvements are being made at MAC football stadiums for the upcoming year?? Ball State is adding a giant pile of dirt in the North EZ- I think we'll stick a flag in it and call it Mount Bubba...anyone else??
UT is adding a pile of asbestos and construction signs to the north end zone. We want BG to feel at home when they visit this November. ;-)
Western Michigan is changing from nexturf to field turf and losing the two toned field.
I like the two-toned field.
Lights are being installed. I believe there will be 3 night games on the schedule this year.

Oh, and new tar is being added to the locker room roof (affectionately known as the tool shed).

Is Western doing any updates to the Porta-johns under the East end stands? They could use some improvements.

You really want to pick a fight about facilities? I mean considering we have a state of the art indoor practice facility and office building anchoring the west end of our stadium complete with luxury boxes, and you are on here braging about putting a coat of tar on a tool shed. Congrats on the promise of lights maybe next year you can get a jumbotron and show replays. lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao
$13M AAPC under construction in the north endzone of Huskie Stadium ;-)

How's that indoor practice facility coming?
Come on Liam, give us all a break will ya? The fact is all our conference universities are in different stages of building or renovating football facilities. At Central Michigan we are behind others in terms of things like lights and a jumbotron but we were way ahead of most schools in our conference in building a state of the art practice facility - that includes Western Michigan. What is actually happening is all schools are pushing each other in terms of facility improvements. That has to be good for everyone. But I will say this, based on what I have read Miami seems to be a leader in terms of facility improvements.
I understand that there are great facilities all over this confrence being built. Just responding to an undeserved crack on our facilities from a fan of a program with worse facilities.

That is a shame. The money could have been better spent on a new sound system or expanding stadium capacity.
Did i mention our new ice arena? ;-)

(and, more on point, our most renovations to Yager took place last year; we're just waiting for the funding to be finalized on our indoor practice facility, to be built in the north end zone of Yager.)
CMU and EMU both need new scoreboards with replay capability badly.
But otherwise both have very nice and comfortable stadiums.
And CMU has the indoor facility that UT fans and players would kill for.
Time for the Ziippies to post now that they hear "any day now" the shovel will be in the ground to get them out of the dump of a Rubber
Bowl.

It's become an annual pre season post for the last four years..keep the string alive.
It's not really for this year, but UT has called a 2pm news conference for today to announce an "important announcement regarding Athletics facilities." It is expected to be an announcement on the renovation of Savage Hall and building of an indoor multi-purpose athletic facility that will have a football field for the football team to practice on indoors.
