That's crazy. 20 points seems a bit much. Any one betting should consider NIU plus the 20 here...i mean, they lost to michigan by 16, and it could have been closer.

That seems about right to me, although I would have to say a 17 point spread would have been a little bit more accurate. According to a lot of people the is the number 1 team in america we are playing and on their home field. In years past we have been 30+ point dogs to teams like OSU.

Ohio State (-20.5) vs. Northern Illinois (TP=51 Odds=.797)
Call up Vegas for me. Tell them I'll take us to beat the spread!

it seems about right. OSU returns most of their offense w/ NIUs defensive history. Miami (OH) lost by 20 there last year. I think its a realistic unbiased spread.

Miami lost by 20, but it could've been 40.
I believe that game was 34-0 after the 3rd quarter, and finished 34-14.
I do not think OSU will do that to us, but 20.5 does seem about right.

What the hell is that link to? Somebody's random personal site? The spread is not 20 according to any gambling site yet. The only thing out there is NFL predictions. G-Force why are you looking at point spreads anyways?
I predict a 27 point spread.

Remember, they need to get money on both sides. A lot of OSU fans probably bet. This will force up the line to get NIU money.

You are right, it is a scam. I lost about $20 on the one armed bandits(2 & 5 cent slots) to the Native Americans about 3 weeks ago in the worlds largest casino.

Would that be Mohegan Sun?

All I know is that I feel like a cheap whore when I bet on NIU games. They are my #1 favorite team and I don't want to cheapen why I root for them. The Ball State spread was -28 and I thought we could accomplish that so I was doubly depressed that day. Same with the MACC and whatever spread that was like -13 or something.
But as double digit dogs, I'm taking NIU any day of the week. I'd bet on some games, but I gave up gambling until 2007 cuz I had sort of a problem. Trust me if you are going to do this, stop after College and Pro football are over. NBA took a lot of my money after i was up. So did a couple bowl games. Made $300 profit but it could have been a whole lot more.

Foxwoods is the largest casino in the world. I would think that was what Robert was referring to.

Foxwoods. Mohegan Sun is right near the top too(been there as well) and they are only a few short miles from each other. Both are huge. The strange thing about Foxwoods, they don't even have "coins". Each slot takes cash and gives out a slip of paper when you leave the slot with your winnings printed on it(assuming you win). So the jingle of spitting out of coins is not heard.
And I heard they are supposed to expand!

after reading cfn's recent preview and how buckeyes have reloaded, you may have second thoughts about the 20 pt spread being out of line.
