Any predictions????
Despite the lopsided representation by the divisions, I predict either Kent State or Miami win it. Kent has swept every series against all MAC teams, the presence of a few superstars draws attention away from the fact they are a very well balanced team, and Flashes are at home.

All of this should be a comfort except for MAC history. Seldom does the number one seed win. Miami is the hot team right now. No matter what happens, we get the 12 points for the Reese Cup, so in that sense the Flashes have delivered.

So, fifteen MLB scouts to watch Manny Burriss in action at the tourney, Dominator? The All American buzz about this kid must be true.

I assume you mean Kent won every series? Had they swept every series, they would be unbeaten in the MAC.

And while history might not prove it, I wouldn't rule out Ball State. The Cards won 12 of their final 14 games, including 11 in a row before losing two of three at Central the final weekend.

It's anybody's tournament.
The abundance of scouts gives some proof that Burriss will be a first round pick in June.
I predict behind Burriss and ace pitcher, Chad Wagler, Kent State sweeps through the tourney. 05-mafia
I sit corrected. We won every series.

Before the Zips fans jump in, we split a doubleheader with you before weather caused cancellation of the final series game.

So, the fine detail is we won evey series and split a doubleheader with Akron.

Finally, I agee it's anyone's series as has been proven by tounament history. But there is a number one seed for a reason.

If NIU were playing, I would care. I like baseball. Of course, the question is what are Kent fans going to do between the end of the baseball season and basketball season? 05-duck
We'll sit back and watch all of other sports win MAC titles (except football). 01-wingedeagle

That's only because you didn't play Toledo this year. lmfao

Seriously though, we did win 2 out of 3 over Miami who is probably the 2nd best team in the MAC.

Ball State defeats WMU 6-2 in Game #1
Kent State vs. EMU at 1 p.m.
CMU vs. Miami at 4 p.m.
Of the six teams in the tournament, the winner will be either Kent State, Miami or Western Michigan - I'm picking Kent State. Ball State will be a long shot. Eastern Michigan and Center Michigan will exit early.

Chat about baseball and basketball seasons.

With the Zips 8-18 in the MAC, we knew that.
Kent State wins 2-1. We will face W. Michigan tomorrow with a chance to knock them out!!!

Congratulations to Emmanuel Burriss for being named MAC Player of the Year!!!! And Scott Stricklin for being named MAC Coach of the Year!!! 02-13-banana
Miami and Central Mich. play ball shortly. Looks like the weather will hold up and they'll get all 3 games in. Supposed to be rain moving through later and into Thursday a.m.
CMU defeats Miami. I would have to think the Chippewas would be a contender for the Tournament title. Lots of offense, but the pitching has to show up.
So tomorrow it's BSU vs. CMU (4 p.m.), KSU vs. 1-loss WMU (1 p.m.), and Miami and EMU(10 a.m.) in an elimination game.
It's time to knock out Western Michigan. 05-mafia
