Yeah, but they wouldn't want a rematch. ;-)

That is BEAUTIFUL! NIU getting some respect! 02-13-banana 04-rock 04-bow 02-13-banana
I love NIU, BUT there is no way in hell we'd ever get the Rose Bowl. We could go undefeated and I still don't think that we would get a BCS Bowl game. I just don't see it happening. I'd love for it to happen so I see it as the glass being half-full and its our football team's job to fill it up and get to the promised land!!!

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We would get a BCS bid if we won all our games and would be playing in the Rose Bowl because they pick last this year!!!!

HMM, if we go undefeated and get to a BCS Bowl, instead of buying that beer I owe you, I'll buy you a whole damn keg of your choice!!!

We could go undefeated beating both Ohio State & Iowa and no BCS Bowl? Come on now.

UIHuskie, where'd you find that picture?

If we run the table (including tOSU and Iowa), there's no WAY we're not getting into a BCS bowl.

Yep. The better question is if only 1 other team has 0 losses, do we go to the Nation Championship Game.

13-0 with wins @ Iowa, @ tOSU, and a MAC Title will get you into a BCS bowl game.

Actually, it is possible if someone has a tougher schedule and runs the table. If a team won 4 OOC games against 25 rated teams and plays a tougher conference schedule(real or percieved). You have to remember, we play 2 very good teams and 2 1AA(ISU and Temple) and Ohio, Buffalo and EMU in the MAC. Then there are the questionable CMU,WMU and BSU. Not exactly the strongest schedule.
One may get there, but both of us won't. There is no way Iowa would be ranked high enough with a loss to us that late in the season or us the same way.
Isn't it a rule in the BCS that if a mid major goes undefeated they get a BCS game. I heard that from somewhere, I could be wrong though.

In the screenshot, I believe this is how the BCS breaks down:
ACC Champion (Miami) vs. Pac-10 Champion (USC) - National Title game
Bix XII Champion (Missouri) vs. At-Large (Ohio State)
SEC Champ (LSU) vs. At-Large (Oklahoma)
At Large (Florida State) vs. Big East Champion (Pittsburgh)
Big Ten Champion (Iowa) vs. At-Large (NIU)

In theory Iowa should be the Big Ten champion because of the Rose Bowl tie-in and Missouri should be the Big XII champion ahead of Oklahoma because of the Fiesta Bowl tie-in.

Some people where I got the screenshot were complaining about NIU in a BCS bowl game, but somebody correctly pointed out that the bowls are incredibly accurate with the new structure, which has been designed in part to give mid-majors better access to the BCS. I don't think it's actually a rule, per se, but that the committee plans to use one of the extra spots on the best team not affiliated with one of the "power" conferences. A team has to finish in the Top 12 of the BCS rankings (which mid-majors do fairly regularly, I believe) or if an automatic qualifier is No. 16 or below, a mid-major ranked No. 15 or above can get in.

yeah, but where did you get the screen, the game isnt out for a few more months, we'd like to see where you got it.
Obviously its a picture somebody took of the game @ E3 but what website did that picture get posted on?
I don't have the site bookmarked, but here's a couple sits with some screenshots:

Does anyone have any idea if we'll have our actual fight song in the game this year and/or if they'll update Huskie Stadium (north and south endzone bleachers removed and the new scoreboard in)??
