I hope he decides to stay close to home and chooses Temple. He will be able to play a full MAC schedule in 2007. New coach, new attitude, hopfully new results. 02-13-banana

I'm hope he comes to UT! Get more depth with the RB's and we have the best OL in the MAC!

I dunno. They didn't look so good on 4th down. ;-)

UT had the MAC's #1 rushing offense last year. Enough said.

If UT gets him? There might not be a fourth down next time.
No offense to UT, and obviously any MAC school would be glad to get him, but I'll be surprised if he slides past Penn State and Pitt.

I heard the same thing after the fact about Bruce Gradkowski. And when Barry Church signed with UT in February we heard the same thing. We al heard it when RB DaJuane Collins signed with Toledo last year despite offers from schools like Purdue, Minnesota, Boston College, Penn State, and others.
I'm not saying that it can't happen; I just strongly suspect that a "bigger" school will make him an offer first.

That said, Toledo, NIU, CMU, and Miami would all be attractive possibilities, if the kid goes MAC. All four have a tradition of good OLs and RBs.

I think Sandman's a reliable source that wouldn't come here and say anything if there wasn't indeed interest.

Nowadays the MAC stands on great footing to get top recruits. If someone wants go go pro they know that they can now also get noticed at a place like Toledo. The weekday games that we've been playing lately kind of suck but I bet tht tv exposure really helps recruits notice us and also the pro scouts notice our players, which in turn can also draw the attention of the recruits. Seems like things have changed alot the past 10 years with regards to MAC players getting drafted and if not drafted more free agent signings after the draft.

btw, missed this topic before but welcome to the boards Sandman, know I saw you on the other boards but didn't realize you were here too.

I think the players produced at a school helps in the decision. That and potential for more PT at a MAC school. UT recruits who are RB's and OL will look at Chester Taylor and Nick Kazcur. Running back recruits near Illinois and Indiana will look at Michael Taylor and Garret Wolfe and give NIU a better chance closer look than before.

BTW, it is Michael Turner but I think you knew that. Just a little mistake I would guess. Of course some of us aren't allowed to make mistakes. ;-)

Wow....the names on the Chargers roster must have played a role with that. 03-melodramatic
