Based on the quoted comments, I would say NIU is currently #3 behind SIU and Bradley. But that is how it is and will be until NIU gets a consistently winning team in the MACAND the MAC does something that will enable them to get more than 1 bid every year(ie. become more like the MVC). This is why Judson doesn't always stay in-state. You can't turn it around and win consistantly based on "3rd or 4th string" Chicago players.
