Congrats 2006 MAC regular season & tournament champions. Good luck in the NCAA's. Great MAC tournament. This was Kent year. The senior leadership, depth, and superior talent was proven. Good effort by UB, Ohio, and Toledo, but Kent is a solid team. They are gonna be a very tough game. I think they got the experience and depth to advance deep in the tournament. Those losses to Southern Illinois, Syracuse, and Rutgers don't look to bad as the season unfolded.

Yes I want to add my congratulations to Kent State. I was at the game, and every time I have seen KSU play this year, I have come away with even more respect for this team's leadership and talent. You have earned these two championships (regular season and tournament); good luck in the NCAA!

I'm sure hoping we will. I can see Akron and UT getting into the NIT; hopefully we (Ohio) will beat out Miami. But with the new rule of inviting sub-.500 teams into the NIT, I'm not too hopeful the MAC will get more than two bids.
I just thought of something else to say about tonight's game. I'm glad the Kent State students and fans were allowed by the Q staff to run the court. I know from reading this board that running the court is not something the students are allowed to do in the MAC Center. Enjoy that feeling, fans! You'll never forget it!
I was one of those that went onto the floor. I was at an entrance where a few students kind of got "run over", but were not really hurt. I enjoy going on the floor, but I definitely see a point in the near future where they stop letting it happen completely. Tonight, they kept telling us we could do it, as long as we didn't go over the wall to get to the floor.
I hope we can represent well. I also think you can make a case that we should have a good 4 teams in the NIT, but who knows if that will happen or not.

Hopefully this solidifies Kent as a top 50 RPI program. This does wonders for SIU as in helps our RPI, and to a lesser extent, the MVC's RPI.
A 13 seed would be good for Kent. I would love to see the Flashes b!tchslap some BCS team, particularly one of the ACC royalty who have been dissing the MVC lately.

We upset Pitt in the Sweet Sixteen game in 2002- they will be gunning for us.
The location is an advantage for us. Close enough for a KSU bus ride, and we have several kids from MoTown or close ( Haynes, 'Blood, Knight from Detroit, Scott from Indy, Smith and Gates from Chicago).
