I saw that article over the weeked. It's embarrassing for GW if you ask me. The fact that individuals can basically run a "prep school" out of their apartment these days is horrible. I love it how the coach of some of these teams are also the school Principle, only teacher, janitor, bus driver, test administrator, etc..
Also, i'm not sure if it's in the article but i'm pretty sure i heard the clearinghouse accepts SAT scores handwritten. Basically, any Prep school can just write out a kids score and there's no formal documentation to back it up. The whole thing is a joke. Kinda' crazy that the entire St. Bonaventure program was destroyed a couple years ago because one kid took a welding class and you have some big time programs accepting kids that probably never even attended a class in high school.
The fact that no BCS program lost a football scholarship is a whole joke in itself. I can't even get into that here.
