=>What six year period are you talking about? ;-)

"FOR SIX CONSECUTIVE YEARS, THE #1 SPORTS PROGRAM IN THE MAC"

Nice catch, Mollautt. 04-bow I've been spending too much time at the Kent board lately and I am familiar with their propensity to spin things the best possible way, but I didn't know they were just lying outright about anything.

So anyone know how to check on current 2006 "standings," if you will? Obviously with the spring and some winter sports yet to be decided, were still early in the race, but I would be curious to know how it looks early on.
I suspect axe is adding together the Reese standings, where Kent is usually in the top three, and the Jacoby standings, where Kent dominates and Miami . . . well, not so much.

Argue with the methodology if you would like, but axe is too good a guy and too straight a shooter for anyone to call him a liar -- even a Zip. An apology might be in order.
Overall MAC athletic excellence of all inter-collegiate sports. Anything else is spin. (The "Well, we don't care about those sports" arguement.) The six years refers to each year individually: KSU was #1 in combined totals for Reese/Jacoby each year. If you want to keep a running tally, I think you could say that we are #1 over the last decade cumulatively, though we were not #1 in a couple of those years. I'll stick with the 6 years.
If you want to consider the Director's Cup, the national rankings by the athletic director's based on NCAA performances, we have been #1 in the MAC for 4 straight years, I believe, and the only MAC school in the top 100 in a couple of those.
If people don't care about anything but football and basketball, fiine. Don't tell me. Go tell your AD.

Akron fans get very uncomfortable around facts. Understandably. ;-)
How did you combine the Reese and Jacoby rankings? And do the six consecutive years refer to 1999-2005?
Keep up the good work Axe. 04-bow
