I'll go out on a limb and predict that Kent (the early leading vote-getter) does not win the Tournament. As well as Kent played this season, color me stubbornly skeptical. I think they will go ice cold one night from the field, and that will seal their doom.

Last year I was 11 for 12 in my pre-tournament predictions, only missing the BSU-BGSU first rounder (and I remain convinced I'd have gotten that right as well if not for Stovall's injury...). Here's how I see things playing out:

Ohio over CMU
WMU over EMU (closer than expected)
Toledo over BGSU
Buffalo over Ball St.

NIU over Toledo
Akron over WMU
Kent over Buffalo (barely)
Miami over Ohio

Miami over Kent
Akron over NIU

Miami over Akron

Kent over Miami
Akron over Toledo (in a war)

Akron over Kent to win both the football and basketball titles. I will then throw up.
