And how many times this past season were you blown out by a MAC school in Football?

utpotts, consider the source! 01-wingedeagle
i've never seen someone prove a point so well....

What don;t you understand... how about this

MAc basketball... such a bad RPI and SOS that we signed Temples 0-11 ass to our confrence in football just hoping maybe someday we could play them in basketball.....

Figured short and sweet was better but whatever
I don't see Temple going to NCAA this year either. When was Temple's last NCAA trip anyways?
John Chaney, also a Hall of Famer, the Owls have enhanced the tradition of excellence, having made 15 NCAA Tournament appearances in the past 16 seasons, including a school-record 10 straight following the 1998-99 campaign.

Concerning VanDelay's Brackerbuster Preview-

Correction- Detroit is 2-2 against the MAC this year, beating EMU and WMU and losing to OU and UB.

Also, I wish UB would upgrade their OOC schedule, but I'm not sure that it is worthy of the special attention iit got in the preview. I don't think their recent slide is related to the OOC schedule. The "cupcakes" included Delaware St. and Rutgers who both beat Kent, and a game at Boston College. Niagara and Canisius are rivalry games that are usually tight. UB's Sagarin SOS number (184- as of 2/16/05) is similar to the top 2 teams in the league, Kent (165) and Akron (185).

Wow, that article is horrible outdated! This will be the 5th straight year Temple has missed the NCAA. The last time they made it was 2001.
That what I thought. I know Temple's program has slid a bit as teams like GW, Xavier, Dayton, and St. Joseph have put up better years this decade.
The MAC made quite a statement in the bracketbuster 04-jawdrop

I was hoping for 8-4 not 5-7 (although I am glad the Flashes won). It looks like the MAC will get 1 in the NCAA and be lucky if 2 get to the NIT (given the rule change). I expext to see any BCS school in the NIT that wins more than 6 D1 games.
Are we talking about 14-10, 7-6 Temple?

I am talking about teams that make
Temple's 14-10 record look good. For example Georgia Tech at 10-13 or Oregom at 11-15 in the mighty PAC 10 or the dreaded Auburn War Eagles of the SEC at 10-12. In short I expect to see a few 20+ win low and mid majors in 15 slots and nearly every BCS school in the rest. In that case Temple would look legit. 03-weeping
