This is the fifth in an unknown number of posts regarding names of universities. In this post I listed all D1A football schools by conference that are named after a state and have state in their names (ie. Illinois State but not Cleveland State as Cleveland is not a state).

I did this because we talked many times about directional schools, names of cities, and how the name of the university and status of it's sports programs are somehow related. Looking forwards to the others (tech, a&m, international).

I copied this list from a website and left the schools as named as these are the common names of the universities.
