I finally got around to doing a recruiting analysis for MAC Report Online. Our ranking placed Akron on top. It's more of a thumbnail/highlight overview of the recruiting classes.

We also compiled a consensus recruiting ranking taking rankings from five sources, MAC Report Online, Vandelay Sports, Rivals, Scout and College Football News. The consensus shows how much diverse opinion there is out there about the recruiting classes this year. I also think it shows a bit how off the mark CFN, Rivals and Scout (i.e. those who only give cursory attention to the MAC) are on the subject. Anyway, the outcome of our consensus was a bit surprising. Check it out through our link on our homepage.
Not surprising to me. About what I thought considering different opinions.Certain teams were consistantly near the top and others consistantly ranked low.
How factor did recruiting class size play in these rankings?
I find MACReportOnline.com's combination of all of the recruiting rankings to be a very good resource. It shows the consistency of each analysis in most cases as well as the inconsistency between these services. No matter where we all rank I think we can all agree that what matters the most is what happens on the field.
Why did you omit the ESPN rankings from your consenous ranking?
he did it to spite NIU
