I'm hearing the rumors may very well be true. If so, it's unfortunate, but perhaps better for the program as a whole. It was clear Fears was dissatisfied with things, and it's also clear that the team plays much better with Chatman getting the majority of the minutes at PG.
I hope it doesn't happen. And I'm gonna be really disappointed if it does happen. But, if he does leave, its not disasterous. I like the way O'Shea has been handling Fears. I think after last season, Fears' ego got a little too big. He thinks he should be in there all the time. Fears has been turning it over way to much this season and O'Shea has benched him a lot because of it. Clearly Fears is not happy that he's being benched. But, he's only a sophomore.

I think Fears needs to look at Sonny Troutman. He and Fears were benched for the 2nd half at Toledo because of so many first half turnovers. Sonny never made a big deal about it and he then came back and he's back to normal now. Fears has been whining about it and just doesn't seem like he cares.

If he does go to DePaul, he's not going to be getting much playing time either if he doesn't cut down on his stupid turnovers. I hope O'Shea can talk him out of it and talk some sense into him
I like a lot of what Fears brings to our team, but he does have a tendency to be immature and flashy at times. I think he's a heck of a player when he focuses on the task at hand, and I'd like to see him stay at Ohio IF he is happy at Ohio. If he's truly unhappy, it would be disasterous for him and for the program to have here.

As you guys said, it would be somewhat of a hit to the team, BUT we are deep enough and Chatman is really showing major progress that we wouldn't be hurt all that much. We'd be more hurt if we had an unhappy player in the mix when we're trying to make a comeback.

I wish him well, whatever his decision (if this pans out to be a true story).
Jeremy has other things in life that weigh on his decison. I hope he stays, but if he feels transferring is the best thing for him and those close to him, I wish him all the best.

He would have to sit out next season, and the special talent he has might go undeveloped. That's sad, but he's got to do what he feels is best.

If this is the end of the road, I wish Jeremy all the luck in the world and I thank him for one great season. No matter what, his shot against Detroit, the ensuing backflips in Cleveland, and his full court pass at the end of regulation will live long in Ohio Basketball.

well said!
I wish Jeremy only the best in whatever he does and wherever he does it. I can remember back when I was a freshman in college and I was suffering from homesickness. I was absolutely miserable; I don't wish that anguish on anyone. Ohio basketball will go on but we'll still have our memories of Jeremy's backflips and oftentimes eye-opening plays.

GO OHIO! BEAT THE REDSKINS!
