The second-ranked Redhawks in hockey. That is, if they don't get stage-fright in the tourney. I understand Miami will go are far as their goalies can take them.
The Chippewas are currently ranked fifth in wrestling. While they have four losses in dual meets, two have been to #1 Minnesota, # 3 Michigan, and #4 Nebraska; all of which were close contests. CMU is a definite darkhorse for a national championship.
Congratulations again the Akron in soccer. A month-long #1 ranking (and loss in OT on the eventual natl champ's home field), were awesome achievements.
Now if only we can get the MAC's "revenue" sports off the schneide.

Since you're talking successful MAC teams, I'll mention the Ball State men's volleyball team. Certainly not all that many teams play it anymore, but the Cards are currently ranked ninth and play Loyola tonight. The winner will be the only undefeated team left in Divison I.
I went the to the UB/CMU meet last week and wow, i was very impressed with CMU's team. UB only won one match and CMUs team looked dominant. Im hoping Kyle Cerminera and CMUs 197 guy meet again in the MACC or NCAAs, since the end of that match was BS. (ok maybe not BS, but definitely debatable)
Miami hopefully is at the top to stay, and Hockey is one of Miami's revenue sports. ;-)
Don't forget the sweetsixteen Bobcat volleyball team. Those hotties got the nations longest home court winning streak in volleyball. Top 20 ranking this year.

We know. We know. But I believe their season ended a few months ago. CMU wrestling and Miami hockey (and BSU men's volleyball) are active.

The OU Volleyball team ended about the same time as the Akron soccer team mentioned above...
