In all seriousness, what will it take for Doug Martin to get fired at Kent State?
He did not win a game in the MAC this season and failed to beat a Division One team all year.
Word is that KSU will have a tough schedule OOC next year and that will include no 1-AA opponents.
Martin has had terrible recruiting classes in each of his years as head coach, so the talent is not waiting in the wings. Martin even has been quoted in the local newspapers that he is not a good recruiter.
Things are going so bad for the KSU football program that one of their coordinators CHOSE to leave and take a position coach job at Division II Findlay. That coach said in the Findlay paper that he had to get to a program that "had a chance to compete for championships".
Honestly, was this guy hired to kill off the program once and for all so that you can leave the MAC and join the Atlantic 10? That would seem to be a great fit for KSU since it is a better basketball league than the MAC.
