According to some inside sources and a relatively recent meeting, the Glass Bowl should soon see some need renovations. According to the Facilities Planning Commission a project to construct a new roof on the towers at the north end was put on hold to include other projects and renovations in the project. Apparently we will definately be seeing a new sound system, and many other possible projects including renovations to the restrooms, cleaning and painting of the wall surrounding th reild, roof tops that are pitched on the towers, and possibly a a sign on the exterior. This is according to many sources and i am guessing speculation from other people. Any word on any other projects. Just thought you'd all like to know. I know the roof tops and the sound system but the others are speculation. Go Rockets.
The sound system is definitely going to happen. Midway through last season the old one died and we brought in temporary speakers to make it through the rest of the season.

i wonder if it died on its own or if it had help from some fans who, like most of us, believe that a new sound system is long overdue. j/k

I saw them live a couple times. If I remember correctly, there used to be short strip mall kind of thing on Central in front of Sears. There was a bar or something in there that had bands. It was a long, narrow building. Man, was it LOUD! Can't remember whether MC5 was headliner or warm-up. I'm thinking they were headliner and the Rougues were warm up, but it's been a few years. ;-)
Back on topic...speaking of spending money, doesn't the team need new helmets? A couple years back they came out with a new helmet design that is supposed to provide a lot better protection, especially agains concussion. I don't think the team has any of those yet, do they?
