If I have to listen to another game announced by Brent Musberger. This guy has to be wirst and most subjective commentator in the history of television. I was about to vomit over how much he kept talking about OSU, which makes me dislike the Buckeyes even more. He could probably start his own Hitler nation of brainwashed Buckeye fans people continue to listen to that tool. I have a headache from that crap.....
Completely agree. ABC should just dress him an scarlet and grey and have him announce from the sidelines.
The only comfort to take is the pain in his voice when he had to announce that the ratings for ND games were at an all time high over at NBC- action he won't ever see.
yeah Musberger is a total TOOL! i've always hated him.
When Brent first broke on the national scene with Irv Cross and Phyllis George on the CBS pregame NFL show way back when I could tolerate him----but once he started trying to actually do games, he became totally insufferable IMO.
And if Notre Dame was beating Ohio State by two touchdowns and Brady Quinn was throwing for 350 yards, Quinn would be touted as the Heisman candidate next year, and Charlie Weis would be considered a coaching God. It's Musberger's style. Everyone has one. He has been wildly successful for multiple decades. I hope I am as successful in my career. Some of the posters posting styles are insufferable.
I can't stand the guy. Not his voice, not his "style", not anything. I almost muted the tv.
And what was with the television coverage? For the number of replays they used, it might as well have been radio.
Brent threw Jimmy the Greek under the bus, BigTime. The Greek was wrong but Brent trashed him.
Welcome to ABC/ESPN style broadcasting. Has anyone else been watching the suckPeteCarrolsdickathon that ESPN has had on the last few weeks? I swear if I have to watch one more story on Matt Leinarts kindergarten teachers pet goldfish or Reggie Bushs pregame goat sacrifice I'm gonna
I'm so sick of the hype of USC I'm gonna root for Texas to win.

Toledo fans should because if USC wins, Leinart ties Chuck Ealey's 35 consecutive win streak.

True, but Leinart also lost in his college career. Chuck Ealey is still the only Division I QB to never lose a game in his collegiate career with a 35-0 record. He also went undefeated in high school making him the only QB in US history to go undefeated in his high school and collegiate career.

USC isn't hype, they're the real deal.
Bush is flat out sick.

[quote]Can I take a minute to gush a little about how good Brent Musburger still is as a play-by-play announcer? I know that some of you think he
Sorry...I found myself thinking that he talks just to fill air.
He couldn't even call the Little League World Series worth a crap. When the Little Bombers from the Bronx, played Apopka Florida, he could only gush abut the 26 year old pitcher from the Baby Bombers.
funny...most Buckeye fans swear that Musberger is pro-Michigan, anti-Buckeye.
He's one of the best play by play guys out there. Some of you seem to hate him as an extension of his coverage on ohio state, which all MAC fans all have to hate as well. lol
Still...he wasn't very good this particular game. It was a more exciting game than he made it sound to be.
